I'm Penny Yin, a graduate with a Master's in Data Science from the Roux Institute at Northeastern University, following my undergraduate studies in Cognitive Science at UC San Diego.

My studies in Cognitive Science and UX/UI design sparked my interest in how developers can better understand user needs beyond what users say. This curiosity led me to Data Science, where I explored how data can help provide valuable insights into user behavior.

Along the way, I built skills in data analytics and machine learning, using tools like Python/R/SQL. I also gained experience in web development (frontend and backend) with languages such as Java and JavaScript.

Recent Activities:

• Chatbot Web Application - Building a chatbot for a cabinet wholesale company website;
• Food Recall Analysis - Analyzing data on recalls, market withdrawals, and safety alerts, inspired by a recent supermarket experience.
